VOCES8 is a significantly acclaimed a capella octet from the United Kingdom,
specializing in medieval and Renaissance works in addition to their very own
preparations of recent pop tunes. This episode is an interview with
the crowd’s creative director and countertenor, Barnaby Smith. We
talk about the crowd’s historical past and academic outreach, the ingenious
demanding situations of chamber making a song, and among the sacred works the
crew has recorded over the last decade.
